If you are planning to spend some time in Goa, by the beaches, you might need to undergo a test on arriving at the airport or need to carry a negative Covid-19 test report in order to get an entry to Goa.
The State Health Minister, Vishwajit Rane has recently stated that a proposal in respect to this matter would be placed before Pramod Sawant, the Chief Minister and the matter needs to be discussed. If the proposal sees the light of the day, people who are traveling from states like Karnataka, Kerala, and Maharashtra shall be required to carry a negative test report or go through a test on arriving at the airport.
The Health Minister has also exclaimed that Maharashtra has already made it compulsory for the people traveling from Goa to carry a negative test report although the number of positive cases is much lower in Goa.
Besides this, the Minister also stated that since weddings and other such occasions likely contribute to the huge rise in the number of active cases due to the huge gathering, the state government is thinking to put a restriction on the number of invitees to such gatherings.
Rane further added that all efforts are in full-fledged being made to make sure that the state is able to conduct 2500 Coronavirus tests every day, according to the rules that the Union government has put forward. There are plans to increase the capacity of the test in any way.
