Carry your style with you even while travelling

Although traveling can be an extremely fun thing to do, but in case you haven’t been careful, it can wreak havoc on your fashion sense. While most of us give a little damn or worry about how we are looking on a trip, there are some people, especially women, who always want to look perfect no matter what. So, here we bring to you a few tips that could come in handy and help you look all stylish and cool all the time.

Know the destination – By this, we don’t mean that you should be aware of the place in a tourist sense that of course needs no reminder. When it comes to being fashionable, the first step is to know what kind of outfit to pack to what place. For example, in case you have packed in that swimsuit that you have been craving to show off, would that work if the place where you are visiting is not having the apt weather condition to make your fantasy come to life? You got the answer. Research a bit, and pack outfits according to the weather, locality and the sensibilities of the locals.

Comfort first- Nobody wants to experience the feeling of going back to home and bring in that dress that you could have worn while paragliding or trekking just because it would be more comfortable. What if you don’t even have that dress in your wardrobe that would enable you to walk miles comfortably? You should care about that while shopping and always choose the dresses that would be comfortable for you in the pursuit of the adventure that you are embarking upon.

Have some basic pieces and make it amazing- Some people do that quite successfully. Pack in your blue jeans that would go with every other color combination of tops. Or maybe that classy black dress that you have which can be easily accessorized. That would make you feel all confident. And constantly changing the accessories and tops over those jeans and leggings will not make your dressing sense look repetitive.

Something special for a special day- The long trips you take aren’t always necessarily about all the adventures and hikes and whatnots. Even during the long holidays away, there may be days when you would want to just sit in a peaceful restaurant with your better half. Pack in one or two party dresses just in case.

Accessorize- The accessories that you chose on such long trips may go very well with the outfit or not. But in any case, they would make you feel like a different person each day. And for the most positive impact, get yourself a locally sold accessory which would make you look extra stylish.

Embrace outfit repeats- And lastly, never be afraid of the outfits that you have to repeat. There is no need to feel awkward about it, it’s absolutely fine. The fewer outfits you have in your bag, less weighted you feel.

Fashion goes out of the windows when it comes to traveling. Actually, everything else fades out. But to look stylish all the time is something that could be managed even while traveling.

Tips: As you Pack your Footwears for Upcoming Travel

Footwear is the most important part of travel packing checklist. It makes all the more sense to look for basic things while choosing your foot-wears especially when you are on a backpacking trip, as you would like to not only ensure comfort but also it should be trending. Based on our solo backpacking travel experience, #ghoomophophirosisters came out with few tips that one should keep in mind while doing footwear shopping.
Trendy
Footwears should be trendy enough that can go well with an evening dinner or for a morning walk or to your hiking trails. We still recall our early travel days, when we used to keep a different pair of shoes for different occasions, but over a period our travel checklist evolved and we started packing shoes that can go well with our clothing, are trendy, comfortable and carry off fashion and utility hand in hand. These footwears could be of any material from leather to nylon, but should look nice on our feet.
Airport-Friendly
There are airports, which would ask you to remove them for security check-in. While traveling, it is really required that your shoes should be X-ray friendly and should not have metal, because, at times, such shoes waste a lot of your time while clearing security. Sports shoes, loafers, open sandals are good examples of airport friendly shoes.

Quality of Sole
Having a great quality of sole that can survive your rough hiking terrain and your long travel walks is an important aspect of travel foot wears. All good reasons, one would not like to go through the pain of wear and tear of your foot wears at least.

Breathable
While you on travel, make sure, the footwears should have a breathable membrane to avoid bad odor. Open shoes, flip flops, does help here, but in case you are going for shoes, prefer high-quality membrane shoes.

Cushioning & Lightweight
Since travel involves loads of walking, it is absolutely a great idea to wear light weight and comfortable footwears. One should ensure that their shoes have good cushioning that can prevent the feet from blisters. Lightweight foot-wears not only helps in keeping the feet happy but also keep your baggage light, which in turn is a boon while you have to take up a flight.

Waterproof

In case you are traveling during monsoon, or on a hiking trip, It is advisable to have waterproof shoes. This not only help you to go with only one pair of shoes but also, improves the durability of your shoes. There are water- proof sprays available, which can be used as an alternate option.

We hope that next time whenever you traveling, you know what to keep and what to avoid. You may ask questions like how frequently a particular pair can be used, or can this be replaced by some other pair. As a traveler, you would like to weigh your options carefully.
Personally, we prefer Nike shoes or Woodland Shoes to sandals on our travels, though this may change depending on travel destinations, and activities planned in itinerary but our backpack usually has a pair of fashionable, technical trendy footwears.

#ghoomophirosisters Packing List

We usually keep getting the request to share our packing tips from naïve and pro solo travelers. This blog typically talks about packing details while we are on the road. Happy Reading! as we as #ghoomophirosisters understand that packing right stuff is very important and is challenging too for solo backpacking females.

Every time we travel, we discuss a lot on what need to be taken and what needs to be left behind, and over the 8 years of journey, we realized our bags are getting lighter and lighter.

Here you go!!

Bag or Day Pack – Apart from your backpacks, don’t miss to carry a small sling bag/day pack. This helps to keep the small stuff like sunscreesn/lip balms, shades, watch, one pair of clothes, water bottle, wallet etc within reach,

Travel Documents: Don’t miss to carry important documents like passport, requisite visas, extra photos, local currency, health insurance, traveler cheques, local guide book, emergency numbers. These all can be accommodated in your day bag.

Travel Clothes: Wrinkle-free washable pants/trousers (with a zipper to turn them into shorts and preferably with plenty of pockets) – we stay away from jeans in the tropics: they stay wet forever (if you’re traveling in cities, jeans are perfect if that’s what you usually wear),  wrinkle-free washable blouses (one short and one long sleeves), pair socks (get special walking socks, not cotton ones)1 pair hiking sandals (for beach, town, and shower) or walking shoes. Cold weather clothes, a lightweight fleece jacket – or something warmer if you’re heading where it’s really freezing. Large plastic poncho or lightweight waterproof (carrying an umbrella can be cumbersome). Some scarves, and other accessories that can be mix and matched.

Personal Items: Nail clippers, Small bottle of antibacterial soap ,Small tube of moisturizing cream or lotion, comb or hairbrush, Toothpaste, toothbrush, Viscose or microfiber travel towel , Deodorant or talcum powder, Hair clip or barrette (if you have long hair), Eye mask and ear plugs, Eyeglasses, contact lenses and supplies, Sunglasses, sunscreen. Wristwatch with an   alarm function (Fastrack has come out with real swanky collection), small candles and waterproof matches, toilet papers, sanitizers, mosquito repellent.

Getting Technical: a small LED, plus a headlamp , Individual country plug adapters , Pens , A small penknife or Swiss Army , Cell phone/phone cards/charger (make sure you pack it in something waterproof).

Travel Money belt, First aid kit, and your credit cards are other things which you would not like to miss.!!

Go pack and travel!!

As a solo and avid traveler cum bag-packer, I often try to travel light and the biggest challenge that I usually face is how to minimize my vanity box, and I must say, Neesh perfumes have filled this market gap with their new range of pocket perfumes. They have around 12 Attar fragrances, out of which 6 are for men and 6 for women. Best part of these is pocket friendliness both literally and figuratively as it is priced as low as Rs.340/- for 20 ml which lasts long with a single spray, and the presentation is cute enough that you would not like to miss keeping it in your travel purse. Product is widely available online on SnapdealFlipkartAmazonEbay.

All about their Fragrances– These cute perfumes are packed in small pikpacks, which are flat in nature. This help in their portability in travel and can be kept in clutch bags, travel belts etc. They are made up of natural oils, which increase its lasting effect.

Women’s Perfume

  • Zaafran-e-Hindustan:It has a musky kind of fragrance, which is further enriched with few flavors of rose and saffron from Iran.
