MAHARASHTRA TO ORGANISE 20 CULTURAL FESTIVALS IN THE UPCOMING MONTHS

With an intention to boost tourism, the Maharashtra tourism department has decided to arrange 20 mini festivals across six regions, mainly comprising of Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Konkan and Amravati. These small festivals will continue throughout the months of February and March.
In order to host these festivals, the government shall spend INR 100 lakhs. After the end of a pandemic era, Maharashtra is all set to welcome its tourists. These festivals provide you an exciting opportunity to witness the cultural heritage of the state.
Given below are some of the noteworthy festivals:
Nashik: Grape Harvesting Festival and Nandur
Madhyameshwar Festival
Ahmednagar : Bhandardara Festival
Dhule : Laling Fort Festival
Pune : Junnar Grape Festival
Satara : Wai Festival
Kolhapur : Panhala Festival
Sindhudurg : Vengurla Festival
Ratnagiri : Anjarle Festival
Osmanabad : Ter Festival
Beed : Kapildhara Festival
Nanded: Hottal Festival
Nagpur : Sindkhed Raja Festival
Akola : Narnala Fort Festival
Yavatmal: Tipeshwar Forest Festival
Nagpur : Ramtek Festival
Vardha: Bor Dam and Wildlife Festival
Gondia : Bodalkasa Bird Festival
These festivals will be organized through regional offices of the Directorate of Tourism. Through the organization of such mini-festivals, Maharashtra expects to take its cultural tourism a step further.
