If you are travelling to Gujarat, you will now need to carry a negative RT-PCR test report. According to a report, airlines have been instructed to check the commuter’s report at the time of boarding before they arrive at Gujarat.
Keeping in sync with the report, a number of travelers who visited Gujarat for the past two days were asked to provide their samples for testing before leaving the airport premises as they failed to produce a negative RT-PCR test report.
The state government has made it compulsory for all travelers who are visiting the state to carry a negative RT-PCR test report. Such a test has to be carried out within 72 hours of their journey.
The Health Department of Gujarat has also issued a notification on the same matter. It further added that as there is a massive chance of the spread of the virus from the airport because of the huge number of commuters, all airlines have been instructed to check the RT-PCR test report of the people before their departure.
The notification further proclaimed that without the negative report, the commuter should not get permission to enter the state or else they will have to get their test done at the Gujarat airport at their own expense and shall have to wait for their report. All the airport and airline authorities have been instructed to enlighten the travelers on the Covid protocols.
Reportedly, the airlines have also been directed not only to verify the RT-PCR test report but also to prepare the travelers to get their test done at the airport premises at their own expense before leaving the area.
As per the report, during the last three to four days, travelers who have arrived in the state without any negative RT-PCR test report from other parts of the country were unwilling to undergo a test or shell out money to get themselves tested.
