Approval for training and licensing of new tourist guides

In a motive to boost employment facilities in the tourism unit, the government of Rajasthan has given approval for the training and licensing of 6000 new tourist guides. This decision is extremely important in terms of self-employment facilities in the state.
The cabinet, along with its Rajasthan Tourism Trade (Facilitation and Regulation) Amendment Rules – 2021 policy shall select, train and give out license to the new tourist guides. This scheme shall be functional in all the urban local body regions of the state.
In addition to this, the government has also approved the guest house scheme, under which the visitors shall get accommodation in the residential premises as guest houses. A maximum of 20 rooms for such guesthouses has been allocated.
Due to this pandemic, tourism in Rajasthan has suffered greatly in terms of economy and so, such self-employment facilities are the urgent requirements.
In the meantime, there has been a sudden increase in the number of positive cases in Rajasthan, and for this reason, the government has been bound to increase the timings for night curfew by an hour. This is applicable in the worst-affected districts that include Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, Sagwada (Dungarpur), and Kushalgarh (Banswara).
In the initial stage, the timing for the curfew was between 11PM to 5PM. It has been reported that from today, the night curfew shall start from 10 PM onwards. In respect to an official release issued on Wednesday, the markets in all the above-mentioned districts shall get closed by 9 PM in place of 10 PM from today.
